SAGINAW CHIPPEWA CHIEF Fred Cantu Jr., helps cut the ribbon with Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors during the Feb. 23 dedication of Isabella County’s new drug and alcohol detoxification center in Union Township. The $775,000 project is located just north of High Street in Central Michigan Community Hospital’s new medical park. The Tribe contributed $200,000 to the six-bed detox center in the form of a 2 percent disbursement.
