2011 Primary & General Election Timeline
August 4- September 2 Candidate Packets available at the Tribal Clerk’s Office
(NOTE: The Clerk’s Office will be closed on Saturday, September 3, 2011 and Sunday, September 4, 2011 and Monday-Labor Day, September 5, 2011.)
September 2 Deadline for Candidates to turn in Petitions
September 12 Last day to register to vote for the Primary Election
September 14 Deadline for Candidates to meet all aspects of the qualifications to be place on the final list of Candidates.
September 15 Final Candidate List Posted
September 22 Absentee Ballots for Primary Election available in the office and mailed.
October 7 Last day to register to vote for the General Election
October 10 5:15 pm--Certification of Voting Machines
October 11 Primary Election Day—Polls will be open from 8 am until 8 pm.
October 21 Absentee Ballots for General Election available in the office and mailed.
November 7 5:15 pm--Certification of Voting Machines
November 8 General Election Day—Polls will be open from 8 am until 8 pm.
