2014 Spring Distributions
This event will be streamed live Thursday, November 20th 2014 at 9AM EST.
The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Council has scheduled their annual Revenue Sharing distribution
for the spring 2014 season. Local units of government and public schools will be able to
share $1,981,585.21 in Isabella County and $627,888.41 in Northern Bay and Arenac
Counties. Those funds come from net gaming proceeds from class III games of chance.
Items such as computer labs, text books, roads resurfacing and much more are purchased
county wide with these proceeds.
As with other years, the Tribal Council pours over many different requests. This year
there were a combined 439 individual requests. Local governments turned in 108 and
331 were handed in from local schools. Even though the revenue hasn't increased from
last fall, the numbers of requests are growing. This is a true reflection of our economy
and our resilience.
Isabella local units of government will share $1 ,233,462.46 while the school district
throughout Isabella County will share $748,122.75. Distribution for Isabella will be on
Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. at Tribal Operations Seniors Room. Arenac and
Northern Bay Counties will share $409,779.71. Arenac and Pinconning schools will share
$218,108.70. Distribution for Saganing will be on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 11 :00 a.m.
