Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking can affect anyone regardless of race, culture, sex, and/or age.  Nami Migizi Nangwiihgan provides assistance for anyone who has been affected by violence in their life.

Individual needs will be addressed by utilizing the emergency shelter and case management services.  We are dedicated to providing resources, safety and advocacy to ensure the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of families victimized by violence.  In order to achieve balance and independence, we as a community, need to reestablish a support network of services and resources.

The purpose of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan's Nami Migizi Nangwiihgan Services is to assist those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in finding another path without abuse. We are dedicated to providing resources, safety and advocacy to ensure the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of families victimized by violence. In order to achieve balance and independence, we as a community, need to reestablish a support network of services and resources.

Case Management

For many people, finding the resources and services they need can be complex and confusing.  Case Management services can assist you with finding the appropriate resources to meet your changing needs.  During your session, you will meet with your Case Manager on a one-to-one basis to discuss what options you have. A service plan is developed to establish the goals you want to achieve.  The plan is reviewed periodically to track progress and to address any obstacles you might come across.

Counseling

Free and confidential individual and group counseling services are available to anyone who has been a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking in their lifetime.

Outreach & Education Services

We are available to provide training and consultation to any community agency. Join us for Painting the Rez Purple during the month of October.
