Laura Lund

Laura Lund, DDS
Chief Dental Officer, Nimkee Dental Clinic

I graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 1994, and completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in 1995. Joining the US Public Health Service/Indian Health Service as a Commissioned Officer in 1995, I began working with the Nez Perce Tribe in Idaho. I transferred to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to work with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe in 1998, where I have been ever since. It continues to be a pleasure to work and grow with the SCIT. I am a firm believer in respect, good manners, kindness, and the belief that if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right. I continually strive to carry these tenets into both my professional and personal lives. When not working, I enjoy hugging my family, reading, taking walks and stained glass art.

Dr. Debbie Meacham
Staff Dentist

I was born and raised in Troy, Michigan. I went to undergraduate school at the University of Michigan. Immediately after graduation, I went to the University of Detroit Dental School. I met my husband In California, and shortly after, opened my own private practice, and stayed for over 20 years. I have returned to Michigan to be with my family and to create a new "dental family" with the staff at Nimkee and the tribal members.

Ona Erdt

Dr. Ona Erdt, DMD
Staff Dentist

Dr. Ona Erdt obtained her DMD degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, California. It was here that she received training based on the philosophy that the dentist is an important member of a patient’s overall healthcare team, and that oral health is an important component of overall health. With 10 years of experience as a dental assistant prior to dental school, 4 years being in hospital dentistry, she experienced first-hand how conditions of the body affect the oral cavity and how conditions of the oral cavity affect the body. It is because of this she strives to provide the highest quality dental care with treatment plans that are based on providing the ultimate in oral and whole body health. When not at the office, Dr. Erdt enjoys scrapbooking, beading, and spending time with her husband of 14 years, Jay, and their 10 year old Shepard/Chow Chow dog son Akira.

Misty Davis

Misty Davis, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist

I grew up near Blanchard, MI (go Mustangs!) and after graduating from high school my childhood dentist hired me to be a dental assistant. I went to college for dental hygiene at Lansing Community College, and during that time I played volleyball for the college and got married to my wonderful husband. We moved to Pennsylvania for eight years, where I honed my skills as a hygienist, became active in the American Dental Hygienists Association, earned my Bachelor's degree in healthcare management from Franklin University, and had a blast exploring the East coast. We returned to Mid Michigan in 2015 and we are excited to be back near family and to begin the next chapter of our lives
