Primary election planned for District 1 on Oct. 14

Saginaw Chippewa members in District 1 will have 58 candidates to select from-including nine incumbents-when they head to the polls Oct. 14 for a primary election.

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Saginaw Chippewa Public Safety Building. There are 663 members in the district who are registered to vote in the election. The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 4 general election is Oct. 3 at 5 p.m.

District 1 candidates include: Dawn M. (Perez) Anderson, Mark Louis Bailey, Charmaine Benz, Terry Lee Bonnau, Alvin Chamberlain, Brenda Lee Champlin, Esther Chatfield, Brian Chippeway, Beatrice Colwell, Timothy Davis, Eleanor Ebright, Audrey Falcon, Michael Floyd Sr., Gail George, Amanda George-Dye, Consuelo Gonzalez, Harold Gould, Craig Graverette, Diana Quigno-Grundahl, Lindy Hunt, Brent Jackson, Delores Jackson, Gordon Jackson Sr., Josephine Jackson, Sandra Ann Jackson, Ronald Johansen, Lisa Kennedy, Maynard Kahgegab Jr., Travis Kahgegab, Jeanette Leaureaux, Oliver Leaureaux, Gerald McDonald, Patrick Mena, Ruth Moses, Gloria Navaris, David Otto, Robert Pego Sr., Steve Pego, Clinton Pelcher Jr., Milton Pelcher, Raymond Pelcher, David Glenn Perez, Mary Alice Perez, Nicki Perez, Anne Peters, Lance Peters, Lyle Pontiac, Dolly A. District 2 general election candiates include incumbent Connie Freiburger, as well as Le Etta Hansen. District 3 general election candidates are Greg Falsetta, Jean Lang and Michele Stanley.
