Native Farmers Market is ready for lunchtime crowd 8-16-16

Joseph V. Sowmick - August 16, 2016

Team Observer took a walk across the street from Tribal Operations to see the flurry of activity happening at the Native Farmers Market on August 16.  A veritable cornucopia of fresh vegetables, fruits, homemade desserts, pies and other goodies await you as you get your plans set for lunch.

Nimkee Public Health Educator and REACH Grant Coordinator Brandon Schultz is amazed to see the diversity of items available every Tuesday at the Native Farmers Market.  “I don’t know anywhere that provides such a great opportunity for a community to enjoy down on the freshness in a relaxed family atmosphere.  Make sure you try the wild rice soup today, it’s fantastic,” Schultz said. “Along with all the produce we have homemade goods to go along with entertainment.  If you haven’t had a chance to check it out this summer, we will be open until 4pm today so come out of see what we have to offer!”
