SECR Veteran's Day 11/11/2015

In an effort to provide bonus coverage, Team Observer joins with the Anishinabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Warrior Society (AOVWS) and the SECR Marketing Department as they held their annual Veteran’s Day celebration on the main casino floor.  The Nov. 11 event featured a Grand Entry that stretched into the casino property as the patrons and employees reverently acknowledged the service of our warriors to our country.

 

Tribal Council Member Chip Neyome attended the ceremony along with SECR Chief Executive Officer Bob VanWert.  SECR Marketing Manager Tanya Bardy joined SECR Advertising and Public Relations Manager Kristina Griffus in coordinating the festivities and SECR Marketing Director Raul Venegas personally welcomed the warriors and sat in on the drum.

 

“Veteran’s Day is about saying thank you to all of those that have served and currently serving our country. This is our way of saying thank you for our freedom we all enjoy and saying a special thank you for keeping us safe,” Bardy said.  “Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort takes pride in honoring all veterans. It is amazing to see all of the patrons and community members who came and walked up to veterans to  shake their hands and give them a personal thank you.”
