SCA End of Year Powwow 6-3-15

In an effort to provide bonus coverage, Team Observer supports the Saginaw Chippewa Academy as they celebrate their End of Year Powwow on June 3.  The Jiingtamok honored four students from left to right: Sara Saunders (5th Grade), Alberta Trepanier (4th grade), Kenneth Wemigwans (4th grade), and Christopher Spencer-Ruiz (5th Grade) as they were chosen to represent the academy at upcoming  events in the next school year. 

 

The festivities featured a Grand Entry along with exhibition of various dance styles and concluded with several intertribals.  Music for the powwow was provided by the host SCA Drum and the visiting Walleye Singers.
