AMSOIL Championship Snocross returns to Mt. Pleasant’s Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort!

The stars of AMSOIL Championship Snocross, powered by Ram Trucks, return to Michigan’s No. 1 casino to host world’s premier snowmobile racing series right on the grounds of Soaring Eagle for the Soaring Eagle’s Ram Trucks Snocross National, rounds 13 and 14 on Feb. 27-28.

Long known as the entrance point to Michigan’s bountiful snowmobile country, Mt. Pleasant’s Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort’s grounds will again play host to the high-pitch, crackling sound of 600cc two-stroke race motors, powering the NASA-like custom sleds capable able to soar through the air half the distance of a football field and attain speeds in excess of 100 mph. Michigan motorsports fans will get to witness, in-person, the same great athletes featured weekly on CBS Sports and at the recent ESPN Winter X Games.

“Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort is again looking forward to hosting the unbelievable racing action on the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour as part of our 2015 entertainment lineup,” said Raul A. Venegas, Director of Marketing & Entertainment at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. “Last year’s response from our customers was highly positive when we added snocross to our outdoor entertainment efforts that also includes our outdoor summer concert series, motocross and a monster truck show.

“AMSOIL Championship Snocross is a fantastic show and great value for the entire family and we look forward to seeing people from all points of the Midwest map out enjoying the racing and everything else Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort has to offer.”

Last year pro snocross’ living legend, Tucker Hibbert (Monster Energy/Arctic Cat/Ram), took it to the competition in sweeping both nights of the inaugural Soaring Eagle Ram Trucks Snocross National, out-dueling rival Kody Kamm (Monster Energy/Hentges Racing/Polaris) in two thrilling main events. This year there’s been a great deal of parity atop the premier Pro Open class podium on the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour with Kamm, fellow Wisconsinite Ross Martin (DuPont/Jack Links/Polaris) and Michigan’s (Ironwood) own Kyle Pallin (Mystic/Polaris/Team LaVallee) also recording victories.

Voted as the Midwest’s “Favorite Casino” and “Best Overall Gaming Resort” (Midwest Gaming & Travel), the massive Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort sits right in the heart of Michigan’s mitten – Mt. Pleasant. Owned and operated by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, Soaring Eagle – known throughout the region for its superior live event promotion and production capabilities - is a perfect fit to host an AMSOIL Championship Snocross event when the opportunity arose.

“Last year we created one of the largest tracks on the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour at Soaring Eagle and it led to some of the best racing we saw all year,” said ISOC President and Race Director Carl Schubitzke. “The Soaring Eagle venue is a perfect setting to host a pro snocross event. We look forward to having our legions of fans converge on Soaring Eagle later this month.”

Mt. Pleasant and Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort enjoy a distinct geographical advantage over other regions of the state in hosting snowmobile events. Roughly an hour drive from a number of Michigan’s larger metropolitan areas (Grand Rapids, Lansing and the Tri-City area of Bay City, Saginaw and Flint), Soaring Eagle is situated to where snowmobilers can stay at the resort, ride any number of trail systems during the day, then return in the early evening to watch AMSOIL Championship Snocross before returning to the casino and resort for some gaming and family fun.
