Jessica Simpson charms Soaring Eagle crowd

Her boots were made for walkin'.

Her voice was made for singing.

And that's just what Jessica Simpson did as she took the stage during a concert at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort on Aug. 25.

The actress, songwriter and vocalist performed an updated version of Nancy Sinatra's 1960s hit, "These Boots are Made for Walkin', which is featured on "The Dukes of Hazzard" soundtrack.

The 1980s television series film remake recently hit No. 1 at the box office.

Simpson made her movie debut as Hazzard County's sweet and sultry Daisy Duke.

The Dallas, Tex. native released her first recording-Sweet Kisses-in 1999, and is well known for her 2001 crossover smash hit to the title track "Irresistible."

Simpson was nominated for two MTV video music awards for best female video and best pop video for "With You," off her last album In This Skin.

Other popular performances include, "Take My Breath Away" and "Angels."

The 25-year-old and her husband, Nick Lachey (of 98 Degrees), share their lives on MTV reality television show "Newlyweds." The couple has also put together a television Christmas special and have spent time performing for troops overseas.

Simpson has expanded her success to include a new beauty line of tasteable fragrances and cosmetics-Dessert.

Jessica will release a new album in November, which includes a cover for "Son of a Preacher Man" and offers a Southern vibe.

Simpson says her inspiration for the new album derives from Patsey Cline, Shania Twain and Willy Nelson, who plays opposite Jessica in "The Dukes of Hazzard" as Uncle Jessie.

Nelson is also in Simpson's video, "These Boots are Made for Walkin'."
