Arlene M. Allen , Of Swartz Creek, age 79, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Garfield officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Arlene was born in Flint, Michigan on September 1, 1934, daughter of the late James and Lucy (Chatfield) Davis.
She enjoyed weaving baskets with her mother in her earlier years.
She was proud to be a full blooded Indian and a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to pow wows and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Surviving are daughter, Robin Martin;
grandchildren, Nick, David, Cameron and Jeremy;
brother Richard Davis;
sister-in-law, Nancy Coons;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sons, Chris and Jeremy.
