BERNARD JACKSON, 55, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Tendercare of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services for Bernard will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 25th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Owen White-Pigeon officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 24th from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday, October 25th from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Bernard was born on January 1, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Andrew and Isabella Mary (Koon) Jackson. He was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and the Moose Lodge, and enjoyed music and gambling.
Bernard is survived by his daughter, Leslie (Mike) Klein of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; grandchildren, Alysha and Rachel Machuta and Dylan Klein, all of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Andrew Jackson; sisters, Zilda Ann Jackson of the city Honor, Wanda Lautner of Traverse City, Norma Rapp of Mt. Pleasant, and Wilma (Lairy) Gionet of Harrietta, Mich.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Maurice, Lamont, Wilmont, Raymond, and Ronald Jackson.
