Women's Circle
The Philosophy of the "Woman's Circle" is to broaden the traditional
cultural knowledge of the woman's role in the Anishinaabe community through
the practice of our beautiful artwork. While nurturing each other in changing
world we want to mentor our understanding of the medicines to each other, as
we seek balance in our own lives. We encourage youth and elders alike to join
us in spiritual gathering as we strive to respect and accept teachers. We encourage
each other to seek physical and spiritual balance through making healthy decisions
for ourselves. As we learn from our past we continue our ancestors' legacy.

The Peoples Pow-wow

The Peoples Pow-wow is non-competitive and it is prepared for the community by the community. It is an annual event to give our people a chance to thank the creator for our traditional ways, to show gratitude for our traditional lifestyles and give thanks to the creator for looking out for us. The focus of this event is to celebrate Anishinaabeg spirituality. Located at the 7th Generation Village grounds, the Peoples Pow-wow was also intended for families to reunite, relax, laugh and DANCE, while hearing the songs that honor all creation, celebrate all life and dance for mother earth and all that she gifts us with.
