Reduction in Income, Now What - Cutting the Phat will be held on Monday, May 2nd starting at 3 pm at Andahwod. 

 

Anishinaabe Performance Circle will be on Tuesday, May 3rd at Broadway Theatre from 6 pm to 7 pm. 

 

Tribal Annual Reports are due on Wednesday, May 4th at 5 pm at the Tribal Clerk’s Office by 5 pm (no postmark or posted dated accepted). 

 

Traditional Teaching in Saganing will take place on Wednesday, May 4th from 11 am to 1 pm at the Tribal Center.

 

7th Generation will have a Medicine Wheel Teaching on Wednesday, May 4th from 5 pm to 7 pm.

 

Youth Council will meet on Wednesday, May 4th & 18th  at 3:30 pm to 5 pm and in the Tribal Gym and on Wednesday, May 11th & 25th in the Tribal Ops Senior’s Room from 4 pm to 5 pm.

 

Walking With Our Sisters will have a screening on Thursday, May 5th from 6 pm to 8 pm. 

 

Language Bingo will be on Thursday, May 5th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Andahwod.

 

ACFS Foster Care Program is having a Breakfast Fundraiser on Thursday, May 5th from 9 am to 11 am at the Tribal Gym Kitchen. 

 

Traditional Healer, Donnie Dowd, will be at Behavioral Health on Thursday, May 5th for traditional healing from 10 am to 4 pm and on  Friday, May 6th for a Men & Women’s Sweat from 5 pm to 10 pm.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Please call (989) 775-4850 for an appointment.

June’s Tribal Children Welfare Affidavit deadline is Friday, May 6, 2016, in the Tribal Clerk’s Office.  (Office will be open) No postmark or postdated accepted. 

 

Nimkee Public Health will have a Menopause Support Group on Friday, May 6th from noon to 3 pm. 

 

Walking With Our Sisters Community Feast will take place on Saturday, May 7th from 3 pm to 6 pm at Ziibiwing. 

 

All SCIT Tribal Member Elders from all districts can enjoy Elder’s Breakfast on Wednesday, May 11th & 25th at Andahwod from 9 am to 10 am.

 

Drug Drop Off will take place on Thursday, May 12th under the Farmers Market Pavilion from 10 am to 4 pm. 

 

Ziibiwing’s 12th Annual Birthday Sale is Thursday, May 12th from 10 am to 6 pm. (Tribal Members Only from 8 am to 10 am.Friday, May 13th – 10 am to 6 pm. 

 

Ziibiwing Birthday Celebration Kids Night will be on Friday, May 13th from 6 pm to 8 pm.

 

Bingo Fundraiser for Red Swamp Lacrosse will take place on Friday, May 13th from 5 pm to 7 pm.

 

Ziibiwing will have a Bird Day Celebration on Saturday, May 14th from 1 pm to 4 pm.   

 

Quillwork Collection Showing at Ziibiwing on Saturday, May 14th from 10 am to 3 pm.  Objects will be on display until Saturday, May 21st.

 

Tribal Observer deadline for June’s issue is Monday, May 16th at 3 p.m. 

 

Women’s Support Group meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Behavioral Health.  Dinner, childcare and transportation provided – next meeting is Tuesday, May 17th.

Lacrosse practice takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at the Tribal Gym until the weather changes from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

 

The Tribal Clerk’s Office will be closed every Friday for walk in/desk services for Administrative Office Day starting in February. 

 

Youth Survivor Challenge will be on Friday, June 10th at 11 am at the Saganing Tribal Center. 

 

Free Admission to Ziibiwing Exhibits from Memorial Day to Labor Day (May 30th to September 5th) to honor warriors and their families as part of the Blue Star Museums. 

 

Nimkee Clinic laboratory and pharmacy are open at 7:30 am – 5 pm M,W,T & F and OPEN until 7 pm on Tuesdays

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center –Behavioral Health is now offering drop-in relapse prevention groups twice a week.  Mondays - 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays - 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

The Seventh Generation Program has a sacred fire lunch every Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm at the Elijah Elk building on the corner of Remus and Shepherd roads.

 

Anishinaabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Senior’s Room of Tribal Operation from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 

Enjoy Open Gym on Wednesdays at the Tribal Gym from 6 pm to 9 pm.

 

Women’s Traditions is held at Behavioral Health on Mondays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

 

Keyboarding and Learnkey is held on Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and on Friday from 10 am to noon at the IT department.
