4/15/2024 9:41:00 AM - Public Relations

Mino Giizhep, all:

Please be advised we are making our last call this week seeking volunteers for the second food distribution of 2024 on Saturday, April 20. The semi-truck from the Greater Lansing Food Bank will be rolling into the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe on Saturday, April 20 around 8:30am and we are requesting your help to get the word out for volunteers and letting families know the date on social media. Cars will start to line up after 9am and distribution is scheduled from 10:00am -12:00pm.  The event will take place at the Black Elk Government Complex parking lot and will continue until all food is distributed.

Please be advised that there will be produce and meat that will need to be given away that day and please help us spread the word via social media as we are targeting to impact 350 families. This distribution is open to all residents in Isabella County and all that is needed is a government issued ID with current address. Please see the attached flyer and share with anyone or any organization that could use the information.

Weather forecast looks good for Saturday and volunteers are needed from 8:30am – 12 noon and will be used to help with traffic, setup and clean-up, registration and assisting with the food distribution. If you would like to sign up please email Public Relations at publicrelations@sagchip.org or call (989)775-4076 to sign up.
