HANSEN, LeETTA, age 89, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Andahwod Assisted Living.

Funeral Services for LeEtta will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. A luncheon will immediately follow in Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to H.A.T.S. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

LeEtta was born December 7, 1931, in Bay City, the daughter of George and Rose (Graveratte) Henry. She graduated from Bay City Central High School with the class of 1949. LeEtta married Hans Hansen and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2003. LeEtta was a member of Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and served two terms on tribal council. She was proud of her native heritage and advocated for Native American rights. LeEtta loved to travel; she was involved with the travel club and traveled internationally to many continents. She was a great seamstress and always sewed Halloween costumes for Karl.

LeEtta is survived by her son Hans Karl (Becky) Hansen of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters Karlly, Noelle, and Chloe; and many other extended family members.

LeEtta was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers Lawrence, Leroy, Elwood, and Harrison.
