The Clothesline Project originated in Massachusetts in 1990 to address the issue of

violence against women. The Clothesline is made up of T-shirts created by survivors or

in honor of someone who has experienced incest, domestic violence or sexual assault.

It is a vehicle for those affected to express their emotions and promote awareness.

  • The Clothesline will be displayed throughout the month of October.
  • Shirts and materials to decorate are available to the community free of charge.
  • Please contact Behavioral Health Programs at 989-775-4850 to arrange to pick up your t-shirt and materials.
