Employee Relations
The Employee Relation area of the
Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe consists of employee relation
managers, employee relation assistants and administrative
assistants. The employee relation manager's primary duties
consist of advising and coaching management and ensuring that
tribal policies and procedures are adhered to. Their staff play
key roles supporting the employee relation effort and filling
in during absences. Our approach to employee relations is proactive
in nature by bringing ER services to the manager rather than waiting
until a manager brings an issue to HR. Our ER managers spend about
80% of their time on the floor talking with managers regarding
employee - employer issues an concepts.
