The Compensation area of the
Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe will consist of a director
and coordinators. This area will be the most controversial
area within HR. The compensation area will be the enforcer
of the Tribes performance management compensation program.
This area will work closely with the Training and Development
area and the Recruitment and Hiring area. The Compensation
area will be responsible for position description development,
facilitating performance reviews, conducting wage surveys,
maintaining our wage grids, positions classification, FLSA
exemption testing, facilitating and overseeing the COLA, merit
and promotional wage increases.
