Passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 surrounded by his family at Covenant Medical Center - Cooper in Saginaw. Age 65 years. Norm was born June 4, 1947 in Saginaw to Monroe and Helen (Schmitter) Fowler. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was proud of his Chippewa heritage. Norm was a people person who loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed auto racing, traveling and his grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter, Norman Fowler III, Jeff Fowler, Chad (Dana) Fowler and Trisha (Mike) Dobis; eight grandchildren, Ty, Haley, Hannah, Grace, Sydney, Abby, Ava and Dominic; three brothers, Rick (Becky) Fowler, Joey (Mary) Fowler and Roy Fowler; many nieces and nephews; an aunt, Shirley Wadley; special friend, Deb Yates and his loyal pet companion, Sarah. He was preceded by his parents, and a brother, John Fowler.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Rev. Ernesto Mariona will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3rd and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to Saginaw County Humane Society.
