Teresa Mena, 49, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
Funeral services for Teresa will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 8th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Pego officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Weidman, MI. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7th from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 8th from 1 p.m. until the time of service. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Teresa's family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Teresa was born on February 14, 1962 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Daniel Mena and Frances Gross. She was a member and also worked for the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe. Teresa enjoyed canoeing, tubing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Teresa is survived by her children, Cody Mena of Mt. Pleasant, and Anna Mena of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Nautica, Olivia, Maisie, Ava, and Kayden Mena; brothers Phillip(Flora) Mena of Mt. Pleasant, Lawrence Mena of Hemlock, Patrick Mena of Mt. Pleasant, and Lewis Mena Mt. Pleasant; sister Elizabeth Mena of Gladwin; nieces and nephews Amanda Richardson, Frances Mena, Madeline Mena, Nicholas Mena, Morgan Mena, Lucas Martinez, Jimmy Mena Jr. and children, Dawn and Kaleb Hughes, Aysia Mena-Isham, AJ Hernandez Jr., Journey Mena, Erius Mena, Aaliyah Mena, Bear Benz.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Daniel Jr. and Gary Mena.
