Services: Funeral Service will be held at the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre on Saturday, July 24 th. at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Aamjiwnang First Nations Cemetery.

Visitation: Visitation at the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. and Friday afternoon and evening from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Donations: Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Bluewater Health Palliative Care (cheques only please).

At Bluewater Health - Norman Site on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, PEGGY ELLEN BIRD, age 55 of Corunna, beloved wife of Cecil Allen Restoule. Dear mother of Christine Starr Giovannone (Daniel) of Toronto, Tanya Dawn Bird (Branden Jenkins) of Southfield, MI and Angel Sunshine Bird-Little (Shawn Little) of Port Huron, MI. Loving grandmother of Desirae Starr Bird, Niah Envy Moondance, McKayla Ellen, Chloe Elizabeth, Shawn Allan II, Sydney Rain and Courtney Brynn. Dear sister of Rena Bird, Joanne Rogers, Randy Bird and Christine (Robin) Bird. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Reynold (Jake) Bird and her mother Josephine (Pelcher) Bird and a brother Raymond.

A lifelong Sarnia area resident, Peggy dedicated her life to serving others. She was employed with Aamjiwnaang for 27 years as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor. Following her work with Aamjiwnaang she returned to school to study Aroma Therapy. As an Aroma Myomassologist she enjoyed helping many people through her new profession.
