Summer Youth

Program Goal:

Employ SCIT youth from age 14-24 years old during the summer season so they become aware of Organizational structures, career opportunities and the multiple offerings of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.

Program Purpose:

To provide Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Youth with valuable work/job shadowing experiences to help them identify potential career opportunities. This experience will introduce youth to the workplace, imparting valuable employment skills and provide youth with summer income. It will also allow youth to gain the self-confidence, career awareness, financial literacy and interpersonal competencies to succeed in work environments.
