Semi-Annual 2% distribution

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe has scheduled their semi-annual 2% distribution, funds derived from Class III gaming, at its properties Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and Saganing Eagles Landing Casino. This year the Tribe will be distributing $2,128,364.02 in Isabella County ($1,489,854.81 for Government and $638,509.21 for Education) and another $757,105.59 in Arenac and Northern Bay County ($264,989.68 for Education and $492,115.91 for Government). 

As with other years, the Tribal Council pours over many different requests.  This year there were a combined 405 individual requests.  Local governments turned in 100 and 305 were handed in from local schools.

“Our Tribal Council understands the importance and needs of local communities. The condition of our state’s infrastructure meets some of those needs by focusing on roads and public safety vehicles. We are excited about the continued collaboration and the opportunities we can grant in the future.” stated Tribal Council Chief, Frank Cloutier.  

The Isabella County distribution will take place on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 9:00am in the Senior’s room of Tribal Operations located at 7070 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The Saganing distribution will take place at the Saganing Tribal Center located at 5447 Sturman Road, Standish, Michigan on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 2:00pm.
