What Is Human Trafficking

Prosecutor Sara Woodward is the Human Trafficking and Project Safe Childhood Coordinator at the United States Attorney's Office in Detroit. She will talk about her recent federal prosecution of Willie Curry, who found his 15- and 16-year old victims in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, after they had run away from a group home. Curry Lured his victims to Detroit with promises of clothing and cellphones. Once there, he beat and sexually assaulted his victims, forcing them into prostitution.
