Camille Grice, 55, of Mt. Pleasant,

passed away Saturday, September 2,

2023, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.

Camille was born September 5, 1967, in

Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, daughter of _

Maynard Kahgegab Sr. and Anne

Peters. She graduated from Flandreau

Boarding School (South Dakota) in

1986 and, on September 9, 1991, married Nelson Grice in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to raising her five children, Camille worked at the Soaring

Eagle Casino as a Blackjack dealer. She loved music, especially rock n

roll, and enjoyed going to concerts, attending many outdoor concerts. In

addition, she found joy in long car rides and visiting her family,

especially her grandchildren. Camille is survived by her husband of 32

years, Nelson Grice; five children, Alex (Angel) Grice of Mt. Pleasant,

Aaron (Eric) Grice of Breckenridge, Brianna Yahbay (Jeff S.) of Mt.

Pleasant, Nicholas (Mariah) Grice of Midland, and Jason Kahgegab of

Mt. Pleasant; 15 grandchildren, Alex II, Ariana, Levi, Lucas, Annalia,

Abel, Hayden, Mila, Isabelle, Chanska, William, Liam, Elias, Halen, and

Myeengun; her father, Maynard Kahgegab Sr.; siblings, Maynard

Kahgegab Jr., Travis Kahgegab, Jessica Kahgegab, Courtney (Keesh)

Kahgegab, Ryan Kahgegab, Emily Kahgegab, and Kaitlyn Kahgegab, all

of Mt. Pleasant; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. She

was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Peters; maternal

grandparents, Wilfred and Julia Peters; paternal grandparents, Nelson and

Emily Kahgegab; and aunt, Patricia Peters. Cremation has taken place

and Camille's family will be holding a celebration of life on September

14, 2023 at the 7th Generation Culture Center, on the Saginaw Chippewa
