Reinalda Plata, 20, of Mt. Pleasant

passed away unexpectedly on Monday,

May 15, 2023, at her home in Mt.

Pleasant. Reinalda was born on March

10, 2003, in Chicago, IL, daughter of

Raelee John. She was a 2021 graduate

of Hastings High School. Reinalda was

known for her funny sense of humor,

willingness to help others, and determination to make people around her

smile. She was willing to help others and had an abundance of friends,

most of all she loved her family and son, Melias. Reinalda will be missed

by so many people. She is survived by her mother, Raelee (Oscar Diaz)

John of Mt. Pleasant, father, Enrique Plata of Chicago, Illinois; son,

Melias Moreno Taylor of Grand Rapids; siblings, Erik Arias of Mt.

Pleasant, Alexsia (Reggie) Plata of Grand Rapids, Oscar Diaz III of Grand

Rapids, and Osiris Diaz of Mt. Pleasant; grandfather, Ronald John of

Charlevoix; aunts and uncles, Teresa (Jonathon) Plata, Jorge (Victoria)

Plata, Ruben Plata and Christina (Percy) Plata all of Chicago; special

uncles, Robert (Heaven) Bird, John (Martha) Wemigwans and Thomas

(Nicole) Wemigwans all of Mt. Pleasant; special aunt, Kathleen Hart of

Mt Pleasant; special cousins, Maureen Ruckert, William Fox, Anthony

Plata and Edwin Plata; godmothers, Vanessa Hart and Larissa

Wemigwans; and many more aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. She was

preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents, John, and Joyce

Hart; maternal grandmother, Debra Vidana; aunts, Angela Wemigwans

and Paula Hart; uncles, Paul Hart, Anthony Towns and Alex Towns; and

cousins, Lesly Coronel, and Antonio Hernandez. Funeral service for

Reinalda will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 12 pm, at Charles R.

Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends

on Friday, May 19, at the Funeral Home from 4 pm - 7 pm and one hour

prior to service on Saturday. A luncheon will be served immediately

following the services at the ih Gen. Reinalda will be laid to rest in the

Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago II. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
