Robert George "Bo" Pego, Sr.

Rev. Robert George "Bo" Pego, Sr., age 63, of Mt. Pleasant

passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 11, 2023, with

his faithful wife by his side.

Funeral Services for Rev. Robert will be held at Clark Family

Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 1 p.m.

with Rev. Sam McClellan and Dr. Julian Gunn officiating. A

Luncheon will follow immediately in the Reflections

Reception Center. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery in the spring.

The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel the day of the service from

10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to

family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Bo was born on June 28, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, son of James "Buddy" and Grace

(Rapp) Pego. He married the love of his life, June J. (Bowie) Pego in 1983. Bo

was a proud member, former Sub Chief, and Chaplain of the Saginaw Chippewa

Indian Tribe and a proud Christian. Bo received his Bachelor's in Theology at the

Nazarene Indian Bible College in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He had a deep

faith and passion for leading his flock in the path of Jesus. Bo spent his life

serving his family, tribe and anyone who needed a listening ear, no matter what

the circumstance. He was a minister, counselor, father, husband, leader in his

community. Bo was full of knowledge and compassion and always made time for

those who needed him. Bo was an avid golfer and loved playing in the First

Nation Golf Association Professional League.

Bo is survived by his wife of 41 years, June Pego; children, Jacqueline (Brandon)

Haught, Robert (Bernice) Pego, Jr., and Olivia Otter Robe; grandchildren, Sarah

Shomin, Cory Gaskill, Gracie Davidson, Caden Pego, Wabigwan Pego, Sienna

Pego, Ezekiel Haught, Isaiah Haught, Jeremiah Haught, Robert Pego III, Amaris

Haught, and Daniel Otter Robe; brothers, Steve (Mae) Pego, Allen (Diane) Pego,

Scott Pego, and Sam Pego; and sister, Faith {Tony Carmona) Carmona-Pego;

right hand man, Greg Mandoka; and many nieces and nephews.

Bo was preceded in death by his cherished son, Isaac Pego in 2011; parents; sonin-

law, Daniel Otter Robe; sister, Elaine Pego-Shawnoo; nephew, Allen "Mushie"

Pego, Jr.; and nieces, Terri Paul and Segwen Traver.
