Aloma Leona Underwood age 80, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 27, 1942, in Pinconning, Michigan to the late Frank & Ethel (James) Cloutier. Aloma was a graduate from St. Michael's High School class of 1960. She retired from General Motors after 25 years of dedication. She was a member of the Midland Baptist Church and the UAW Local 699. She married Lawrence Underwood on December 16, 1977, in Sterling, Michigan. 

Aloma will be remembered for having such a great passion for the Lord and her family, she was the most unselfish person you could've ever known, her proudest accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening; working in her flower beds, trips with her sisters, camping with grandchildren and finding a good bargain. If anyone needed anything or had a family function; you could always count on her to help a little or she was willing to jump in and make it happen. She is a woman of strong faith, dedicated to serving the Lord in any capacity right down to cleaning the church and numerous Prayer Breakfasts she served. She has truly been a blessing to those that have known her. 

Surviving besides her husband of 45 years are her children; Amanda (Gerald) Carney, Robert Heppner, Mary (Neil) Wilkinson, Daniel Heppner and Louanna (Tim) Vanochten, 17 grandchildren; Jessie Carney, Angela Corbin, Heather (Darryl) Baca, Brandon (Michelle) Heppner, Marissa Heppner, Brian (Elizabeth) Beauregard, Robert (Leya) Wilkinson, Nicole 

(Nicholas) Borowicz, Ashley (Kyle) Legel, Austin (fiance Annalise) Wilkinson, Kendra Maida, Sarah (Cameron) Hoyt, Brionna Heppner, Barry (Shannon) Histed, Ryan (fiance Paige) Histed, James (Jamie) Vanochten. and 19 great grandchildren, siblings; Pat Cloutier, Gerald (Vivian) Cloutier, Diane Morley, Elaine Kraska, Raymond (Faye) Cloutier, Cathy Bayless, Daniel (Cindy) Cloutier, William (Rose) Cloutier, Linda (Gary) Cook, Richard (Rita) Cloutier, Rosalie (Dan) Maloney, Marjorie (Donald) Dubay, Mary (Jerome) Bukowiec and Frank (James) Cloutier, two sisters in laws Mary Lou Bryce and Joan Katzer, many nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family and her girls from work, all whom were very important to her. She was predeceased by her siblings Myron Cloutier, Lena (John) Stempek, Ivan Morley, David Kraska, Edward Cloutier, Theresa Cloutier, an infant sister Suzie, and a grandson Adam Vanochten. We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Roweena Fenwick for her love and devotion in caring for our mother words cannot explain how much you mean to us all and our mother. A Thank You to Promedica Hospice for the compassionate care given to Aloma and the support given to the family Jenn and Keith you both are truly amazing individuals. 

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 12 noon from the Midland Baptist Church 5009 Jefferson Avenue Midland, Michigan 48640 with Pastor Mark Simpson presiding with burial in Mt. Forest Township Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Monday, from 10 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Promedica Hospice in Aloma's honor to helping other families in end-of-life needs.
