“Education is the new weapon of our Anishanaabe people”

                                                                                                    -Eddie Box, Southern Ute

The Anishanaabe peoples’ greatest strength has always been the ability to adapt.

In these modern times, we must seek education, so our Anishanaabe people succeed.

We need lawyers, doctors, nurses, educators, forestors, scientists, carpenters, and welders.

These skills are needed to help our people grow and thrive! While we are learning, we can

learn about our culture, learn our dances, learn to our songs, and learn to speak our language,

to pass on to our future generations. –Elders Meditation.
