Storytellers: 

Jordan Mowat & Jason George

Jordan Mowat is a Michi Saagiig Ojibwe Powwow & Round Dance singer/composer as well as a contemporary music artist from Alderville First Nation, ON, Canada. 

He has travelled extensively across Turtle Island on the powwow trail and cur-rently sings with notable drum group Bear Creek Singers. Amongst his travels he has also been able to share and perform his acoustic music for a wide range of au-diences. Both traditional and contemporary music is filled in his home, especially for his children. 

Aside from his musical journey and cultural experiences, Jordan is also an Indig-enous Graduation Coach with the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board. Through advocation; mentorship, academic, and mental health support, his goal is to help Indigenous youth realize their full potential - that they have a pur-pose - and to always be proud of who they are. When he’s not helping others, he is exercising his mind, body, and spirit through physical wellness.
