Peters, Anne Patricia "Winda'abin", age 76, passed away

Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Andahwod Continuing Care

And Elder Services.

Services for Anne will be held at Clark Family Funeral

Chapel on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 4 p.m. with Sam

McClellen officiating. The family will receive friends at the

Kahgegab residence (3754 Digwaagi Lane, Mt. Pleasant, MI

48858). Memorial donations may be made to the family.

Anne was born on May 29, 1946, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Wilfred Peters,

Sr. and Julia Elizabeth Peters. After graduating high school, she attended

cosmetology school. Anne worked as a paralegal and office secretary. She served

as an ICWA committee member. Anne was a proud member of the Saginaw

Chippewa Indian Tribe. She enjoyed going to the farmer's market, camp

meetings and attending church and prayer meetings. Her favorite time of the year

was Christmas. Anne especially loved spending time with her family.

Anne is survived by her children: Camille (John) Grice, Maynard Kahgegab, Jr.,

Travis Kahgegab, Jessica Kahgegab, and Courtney Kahgegab (Keeshta

Wemigwans); 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sister: Patricia Anne

Peters; and many nieces and nephews.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Julia Peters ,

grandparents: Simon and Annie Peters; brothers: Julius Peters and Wilfred Peters,

Jr.; sisters: Nicki Perez and Betty Otto; and grandson Tommy Lee Kahgegab.
