Ronald John Lucian Jackson

Ronald John Lucian Jackson, age 66, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away Tuesday, November

8, 2022, at Regency of Lansing West. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place

and no services will be held although many ceremonial fires were held in his honor.

Ronald was born September 5, 1956, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Leo and Joyce (Olger)

Lucian. Ron was a 1975 graduate of Perry High School. Ron loved to travel with family and

friends, especially out west; Utah, Colorado and Wyoming were his favorites. Later in his adult

life, Ron was reunited with his biological father, Leo Jackson Sr. of Mt. Pleasant. Upon this

meeting with the Jackson side of his family he became part of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe

of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He moved to Mt. Pleasant and was a resident for many years.

Ron was a proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Board in which he served with

pride and held many various duties. Ron was employed and had retired from the Soaring Eagle

Casino & Resort where he was a supervisor in the maintenance department.

Surviving are his sisters; Lorrie (Ron Cole) Alexander, Deborah Jackson, Peggy (Dave) Vlick,

Brenda (Tim) Brouder, Vickie Sandlin, Sheri Jackson, and Robin (Darryn) Babcock, brothers; John

Parker, John (Stacie) Jolley Jr., Greg Conner, Leo Jackson, Jr., Harry Jackson, and Frank (Nikki)

Lucian. He was preceded in death by his parents; Leo Lucian, Joyce (Olger) Fernholz and Leo

Jackson, Sr., his brother; Jim Parker, John Jackson, and his sister; Lucy Jackson.

Ron was cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ron had many lifelong

friends that he cherished. He also had close friendships in the Philippine Islands.
