(04/6/2020) SCIT Governmental Operations are currently under a “Temporary Clouse” effective Monday, April 6th and lasting until further notice to continue to assist in our efforts related to Covid-19. It remains the Tribal Government’s top priority to continue to provide all essential Public, Health and Human Services to the community. Please continue to follow all orders that are in place and use the information from the CDC for best practices while remaining safe and healthy. Please see the information listed below if you should need to contact a specific department.

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe (SCIT) takes the health of all Tribal Members

and employees seriously. Council is currently monitoring the pandemic coronavirus

(COVID-19) outbreak and taking steps to ensure that the necessary precautions are

in place to keep our members and staff both safe. Please rest assured that we will

continue to work towards providing the services you rely on.

All tribal community

events and activities scheduled for the month of March 2020 have been canceled.

Our departmental leadership has developed plans outlining service changes for each

of our departments that will be in effect until further notice to keep everyone safe.

Our current plans, as of today, March 16, 2020 reflect telecommuting strategies

whenever possible and limited service in person, most by appointment Our

attempt is to continue services as a priority but focusing on executing those services

by telephone rather than in person visits.

Please contact departments directly for service inquiries and attached is a contact

information sheet for you convenience. We and Tribal Council will continue

monitoring request to make any necessary adjustments in the near future.
