Lena, age, 75 loving wife, mother, sister and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, she passed away at McLaren Bay Region Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 16, 1944 in Pinconning, Michigan to the late Frank & Ethel (James) Cloutier. She married the love of her life John Carl Stempek on July 11, 1964 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Lena was a loving, loyal, unique individual, she loved to be the go-to person for her family and friends by listening, offering advice, as well as sharing a good laugh. Her smile and laughter will be missed by all. The word loyalty doesn’t quite capture Lena’s tenacious devotion and trust given to everyone she loved. She enjoyed her monthly birthday club with the girls, canning, cooking, traveling and camping while making new friends but most of all Lena loved being with her family and attending family gatherings.

She is survived by her loving son, Jason Stempek, brothers and sisters; Myron (Pat) Cloutier, Gerald (Vivian) Cloutier, Raymond (Faye) Cloutier, Richard (Rita) Cloutier, Daniel (Cindy) Cloutier, Billy (Rose) Cloutier, Frank (James Seidel) Cloutier, Aloma (Larry) Underwood, Elaine (David) Kraska, Diane Morley, Linda (Gary) Cook, Mary (Jay) Bukowiec, Margie (Don) Dubay, Rosie (Dan) Maloney, beloved brother in law Louis (Debbie) Stempek, sister in law Carol Hill, sister in law Cathy Bayles as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she will be missed dearly. She was predeceased by her husband John Carl on May 19, 2019, her loving daughter Jessica Marie in 1980, her sister Theresa Cloutier and a brother Edward Cloutier, brother in law Ivan Morley, and a brother in law Joseph Jr. Stempek.

A Celebration of Lena’s Life will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 1 pm from the Pinconning Wesleyan Church with Pastor Gene Kelly as well as Devin and Yvette Chisholm presiding with inurnment at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 am until time of service.
