Our dandelion wild flowers will be left to bloom in portions of the lawn at Ziibiwing for a while. This way they can help to provide an early food source for bees and other pollinators as they emerge from hibernation. This humble and beautiful plant provides a healthy food source for many bees, butterflies and birds. When not doused in pesticides, they have also been used as food and medicine in the human realm. We are keeping them for a while to help our flying brethren, but feel free to pick a dandy if you want to make a wish!
