Cradleboard Workshop will take place Monday, July 31st through Friday, August 4th from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Ziibiwing.

 

Free Love and Logic Parenting Classes will be held at Nimkee Public Health on Tuesdays, beginning August 1 through Tuesday, September 26th from 9 am – 11 am. For more information contact Anna Hon at (989) 775-4616.

 

Traditional Teachings will take place in Saganing on Wednesday, August 2nd from 11 am – 1 pm.

 

Youth Council will meet on Wednesday, August 2nd, Wednesday, August 16th & Wednesday, August 30th from 5 pm – 6 pm in the Teen Lounge/Youth Council Office located in the Tribal Gym.

 

Traditional Healer Donnie Dowd will be at Behavioral Health on Thursday, August 3rd & Friday, August 4th and Thursday, September 14th & Friday, September 15th from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Please call for (989) 775-4850 for an appointment.

Anishinaabemowin Sacred Fire Lunch will be held Thursday, August 3rd, Thursday, August 17th & Thursday, August 31st from 12 pm – 1 pm at 7th Generation Ceremonial Building.

 

SCTC STEM Summer Camp will take place Thursday, August 3rd & Thursday, August 10th from 12 pm – 5 pm in SCTC’s East Building Room 6.

 

Language Bingo will take place at Andahwod on Thursday, August 3rd from 1 pm – 3 pm.

 

The Saginaw Chippewa/Isabella County Support Group will be held Thursday, August 3rd from 7 pm – 8:30 pm in the Tribal Operations Senior’s Room.

 

DEADLINE for September Tribal Child Welfare Affidavits is Friday, August 4th by 5 pm. Tribal Clerk’s Office will remain open on Friday, August 4th from 8 am – 5 pm. Post marked forms, mail or faxes will not be accepted.

 

Name That Tune – “Old Country” will take place at Andahwod on Friday, August 4th at 3 pm. 

 

Tribal Council Candidate Packets will be available at the Tribal Clerk’s Office on Monday, August 7th through Friday, September 1st by 5 pm.

 

GONA for Native Youth will take place Tuesday, August 8th & Wednesday, August 9th at 7th Generation from 8 am – 5 pm.

 

All SCIT Tribal Member Elders from all districts can enjoy Elder’s Breakfast at Andahwod on Wednesday, August 9th & Wednesday, June 23rd from 9 am to 10 am.

 

World’s Indigenous People’s Day at Ziibiwing on Wednesday, August 9th from 10 am – 6 pm.

 

Nimkee Healthy Start Breastfeeding Picnic will take place on Thursday, August 10th from 11 am – 2pm at the Native Farmer’s Market Pavilion.

 

Housing “Asset Building” Management will take place at the Saganing Tribal Center on Thursday, August 10th from 12 pm – 1 pm.

 

Feather Workshop will be held at 7th Generation Wednesday, August 9th & Thursday, August 10th from 5 pm – 8 pm.

 

Sweat Lodge will be held Friday, August 11th & Friday, August 25th at the 7th Generation Blue House from 6 pm – 9:30 pm.

The Saginaw Chippewa/Isabella County Monthly Forum will be held Thursday, August 17th from 7 pm – 8:30 pm at Ziibiwing Cultural Center.

 

The Saginaw Chippewa/Isabella County FAN Board Meeting will be held Thursday, August 17th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at Ziibiwing Cultural Center.

 

Saganing Women’s Retreat presented by Nimkee Women’s Health will take place at the Saganing Tribal Center on Friday, August 18th from 10 am – 3 pm.

People’s Traditional Powwow will be held at 7th Generation Saturday, August 26th from 1 pm – 10 pm & Sunday, August 27th from 1 pm – 4 pm.

Saganing now offering In-Take and Counseling.

 

New Spirit Meetings are held every Sunday at Behavioral Health 4 pm – 6 pm.

 

Women’s Traditions is held at Behavioral Health on Mondays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

 

Euchre with Potluck takes place on Mondays 6 pm at Andahwod.

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center – Behavioral Health is now offering drop-in relapse prevention groups twice a week.  Mondays  -  5:30  pm to 7 pm  and  Fridays  - 11:30  am  to 1 pm.

 

Native Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday  from 10 am – 2 pm at the Farmers Market Pavilion on the corner of Broadway and Leaton Rd.

 

Keyboarding and Open Lab is held on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm and Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm at the Black Elk IT

Training Room.

 

Open Crafts at Andahwod every Tuesday at 5 pm.

 

Anishinaabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Seniors Room of Tribal Operations from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

Narcotics Anonymous takes place every Tuesday in the Behavioral Health Lodge from 6 pm – 8 pm.

Enjoy Open Gym on Wednesdays at the Tribal Gym from 3 pm – 5 pm for youth ages 7 to 11 and 5 pm – 7 pm for ages 12 to 15.

 

The 7th Generation Talking Circle takes place on Thursdays  from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Elijah Elk building on the corner of Remus and Shepherd Rds.

 

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture takes place every Thursday from 4 pm – 6 pm at Behavioral Health on Shepherd Road.

 

Active Parenting Now Classes are held on Fridays at Anishnaabeg Child and Family Services from 10:30 am – 12 pm.

 

Sweat Lodge at Behavioral Health 5:30 pm – 11 pm every first Friday of the month.

 

The Tribal Clerk’s Office is closed every Friday for walk in/desk services for Administrative Office Day.

This will be the last year of free septic & well inspections for Tribal Members who live in Indian Health Service area. Please call (989) 775-4014 to schedule an appointment.
