Tribal Library Summer Reading Program will take place through the month of July. Contact Lee-Anne Disel at (989) 775-4508 for more information.

 

SCTC STEM Day Camp will be held every Thursday in July from 12 pm – 5 pm at the Tribal College. East building room 6.

 

American Indian Dance Performances will take place at Ziibiwing on Saturday, July 1st,  8th, 15th and 22nd from 12 pm – 5pm.

 

September Tribal Child Welfare Affidavits will be accepted Monday, July 3rd through Friday, August 4th by 5 pm. Tribal Clerk’s Office will remain open on Friday, August 4th from 8 am – 5 pm.

Post marked forms, mail or faxes will not be accepted.

 

Tribal Operations and its related offices will be closed Monday, July 3rd & Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

 

Traditional Teachings will take place in Saganing on Wednesday, July 5th from 11 am – 1 pm.

 

Youth Council will meet on Wednesday, July 19th from 5 pm – 6 pm in the Teen Lounge/Youth Council Office located in the Tribal Gym.

 

Traditional Healer Donnie Dowd will be at Behavioral Health on Thursday, July 6th & Friday, July 7thand Thursday, August 3rd & Friday, August 4th from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Please call for (989) 775-4850 for an appointment.

 

Anishinaabemowin Sacred Fire Lunch will be held Thursday, July 6th from 12 pm – 1 pm at 7th Generation Ceremonial Building.

 

Language Bingo will take place at Andahwod on Thursday, July 6th from 1 pm – 3 pm.

 

Summer Baby Celebration will be held Thursday, July 6th from 5:30 pm – 8 pm at 7th Generation.

 

The Saginaw Chippewa/Isabella County FAN Support Group will be held Thursday, July 6th from 7 pm – 9 pm in the Tribal Operations Seniors Room.

 

SCIT Tribal Member Elders from all districts can enjoy Elder’s Breakfast on Wednesday, July 12th & Wednesday, July 26th at Andahwod from 9 am to 10 am.

 

SCIT Higher Education 2017 Eagle Spirit Award Banquet will be held Wednesday, July 12th from 12 pm – 2 pm in Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort’s Swan Creek Saginaw Ballroom.

 

Annual Community Emergency Preparedness Family Event will be held Thursday, July 13th from 5 pm – 8 pm at 7th Generation.

 

Sweat Lodge at the 7th Generation Blue House will take place Friday, July 14th & Friday, July 28th from 6 pm – 9:30 pm.

 

Recreation’s “Who’s Your Caddy” Open Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, July 15th from 10 am – 4 pm at Maple Creek Golf Course.

 

Tribal Observer August issue deadline is Monday, July 17th at 5 pm.

 

District 1 Elders Saganing Day Trip takes place on Tuesday, July 18th from 9 am – 3:30 pm.

 

Positive Indian Parenting will take place Tuesday, July 18th from 10:30 am – 12 pm and 6 pm – 7:30 pm in the Tribal Housing Conference Room. Contact Sandi Stevens at (989) 775-4991 for more information.

 

Bingo with Friends will take place Tuesday, July 18th at the Saganing Tribal Center from 10:30 am – 2 pm.

30th Annual Michigan Indian Family Olympics will be held at CMU’s Bennett Track & Field on Friday, July 21st at 9 am. 

 

Ziibiwing’s Nativefest – Collection Showing will take place Monday, July 24th through Saturday, July 29th from 10 am – 6 pm each day.

 

Ziibiwing’s Nativefest – Car Bingo will be held on Tuesday, July 25th from 5:30 pm – 9 pm.

 

Michigan Indian Elders Association Conference will be held Wednesday, July 26th from 6:30 am – 8 pm at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and Ziibiwing. Conference will continue on Thursday, July 27th from 6:30 am – 11 am at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.

 

Ziibiwing’s Nativefest – Music and Comedy Night takes place Wednesday, July 26th from 5:30 pm – 9pm.

 

SCIT’s Annual Homecoming Community Meeting will take place Thursday, July 27th at 10 am in Soaring Eagle’s Entertainment Hall. Tribal ID is required and open to all ages. 

 

Tribal Operations and its related offices will be closed Friday, July 28th in observance of The Saginaw Chippewa Nation’s Holiday.

 

The 33rd Annual Saginaw Chippewa Powwow will be held Friday, July 28th thru Sunday, July 30th at the Saginaw Chippewa Powwow Grounds.

Freedom Walk 2017 will be held on Saturday, July 29th from 7 am – 10 am. Please meet at the Tribal Gym on the corner of Broadway and Leaton Rd.

 

Cradleboard Workshop will take place on Monday, July 31st through Friday, August 4th at Ziibiwing from 5:30 pm – 8 pm.

Saganing now offering In-Take and Counseling.

New Spirit Meetings are held every Sunday at Behavioral Health 4 pm – 6 pm.

Women’s Traditions is held at Behavioral Health on Mondays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

Euchre with Potluck takes place on Mondays 6 pm at Andahwod.

Struggling or need support?  Residential Treatment Center – Behavioral Health is now offering drop-in relapse prevention groups twice a week.  Mondays  -  5:30  pm to 7 pm  and  Fridays  - 11:30  am  to 1 pm.

Native Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday  from 10 am – 2 pm at the Farmers Market Pavilion on the corner of Broadway and Leaton Rd.

Keyboarding and Open Lab is held on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm and Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm at the Black Elk IT Training Room.

Open Crafts at Andahwod every Tuesday at 5 pm.

Anishinaabe Ogitchedaw Veterans Society meets the first Tuesday of the month in the Seniors Room of Tribal Operations from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

Anishinaabemowin Learning will only be held Tuesday, July 11th from 6 pm – 7 pm at the ALRD building and will resume the week of August 7th. For more information call ALRD at (989) 775-4110.

Narcotics Anonymous takes place every Tuesday in the Behavioral Health Lodge from 6 pm – 8 pm.

Saganing now offers Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture every first and third Wednesday from 11 am – 4 pm. For more information please call (989) 775-4895.

Lunch Bunch Anishinaabemowin is held on Wednesdays from 12 noon – 1 pm at the ALRD building. For more information call (989) 775-4110.

Enjoy Open Gym on Wednesdays at the Tribal Gym from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The 7th Generation Talking Circle takes place on Thursdays  from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Elijah Elk building on the corner of Remus and Shepherd Rds.

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture takes place every Thursday from 4 pm – 6 pm at Behavioral Health on Shepherd Road.

Active Parenting Now Classes are held on Fridays at Anishnaabeg Child and Family Services from 10:30 am – 12 pm.

Sweat Lodge at Behavioral Health 5:30 pm – 11 pm every first Friday of the month.

The Tribal Clerk’s Office is closed every Friday for walk in/desk services for Administrative Office Day.
