Sasiwaans will be accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year starting May 29, 2017 until July 28, 2017. Applications are available online or at the Saiwaans Immersion School.
Sasiwaans has 3 Immersion Classrooms for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Enrolling a child in Sasiwaans is a conscious choice to learn Anishinaabe Language. There are requirements for parental language learning also. The following must be submitted with your application :
Birth Certificate
Immunization Card
Tribal Affiliation Documents
Social Security Card
School Physical & Dental Exams
Insurance Card
Applications are accepted on a first come basis, be sure your application is dated by the office when submitting your application. Application must be fully completed with all required documents in order to be accepted. Returning students have priority placement for the school year, unless received after July 28, 2017. Tribal members will be th enext priority, then tribal member descendants, and then members of all other tribeds will be placed.
