Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning August 26, 2019 a domestic dispute turned fatal as an unidentified male in his 40's took his life outside the Sagamok Mobil Station located at 2428 S Leaton Rd in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Details are unavailable at this time as police are notifying family and next of kin. There is no immediate threat to the community as this was an isolated incident and police were on the scene immediately.


The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe would like to send its condolences to the family and friends as the community deals with this tragedy.


The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Police Department was assisted by the Tribal Fire Department and Mobile Medical Response. We would like to thank our local rescue agencies that assisted the Tribal Police Department in this incident.
