"When I talk about consensus I don't mean everyone is in agreement but that all participants have come to an understanding and have chosen, as a group, to move forward."

Jason George is the Training Manager for HR Training & Development but has worked for both Tribal Governments and non-tribal business and has a wide variety of skills and experience to offer besides training. These skills encompass the broad knowledge of academics, business, and community planning. "I have been a teacher, artist, facilitator and businessman and the results of my work can be seen in the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal community in various forms from the Summer Youth Program to the Ziibiwing Center (the Permanent Exhibit) and the Saginaw Chippewa Academy Design Competition with DHGA Architects."

Jason has been concentrating on facilitation for the last five years since training with Kim Alire-Eppley and Leslie Kabotie in consensus based facilitation. He has been a part of teams facilitating Strategic Plans for departments of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and continues to play a large part in providing these services. "When I talk about consensus I don't mean everyone is in agreement but that all participants have come to an understanding and have chosen, as a group, to move forward." He uses these skills within the classroom to challenge and clarify thoughts of participants so that they can see more than one perspective.
