Barbara Gibson, Senior Hearings Officer
Barbara has been an attorney since 1984 and has practiced privately and in the non-profit sector. Most recently, she was program counsel for the Legal Services Corporation in Washington, D.C. She is a state recognized mediator and case evaluator and has been with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe since October of 2002. Barbara served as the attorney for the Interim Membership Commission and currently is the director of the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Kathleen Schmalz, Court Recorder/Paralegal
Kathleen Schmalz has been a Certified Electronic Court Recorder since December of 1991. She is the Recording Secretary of the Michigan Electronic Court Reporters Association and is the editor of their newsletter , The Transcript. Kathleen resides with her husband, John, in Grand Haven, Michigan.
