Adult Educational Seminar Grant 2016- 2017 (Ages 25-49)
Qualifications:
- Must be an enrolled member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
- Must be between the ages of 25-49 years.
- Must fill out Grant Programming Application and must furnish:
- Confirmation Letter (for one function listed below)
- Agenda
- Proof of Payment- Only original receipts will be accepted
- Must be related to and funds used directly toward:
- Education-amounts paid for tuition, fees and other related expense for an eligible student that
are required for enrollment or attendance at an eligible educational institution.
- Employment-maintains or improves skills needed in present employment. This could include re
fresher courses, courses on current developments, and academic or vocational
courses.
- Cultural-Must be related to the above mentioned fields of Education and Employment
- Funding requests must NOT have been funded by any other program, scholarship or grant from the
Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, any Federal Agency or any State Governments.
- Function must be an established conference, convention, seminar, certificate course or continuing/
advanced certification organized through an accredited organization or agency.
- All preplanning and related expenses are the responsibility of the Tribal Member.
Service Frequency
One grant (Educational Seminar, Adult G.E.D or Pre-College) will be covered for current fiscal
year (October 1 - September 30) with original receipts that are received by the
first Friday of September of the current fiscal year. Grant availability is based on available
funds, complete file and first come-first serve.
Amount of Aid
In-State travel (state you live in): grant shall have a minimum of $50.00 and shall not exceed $300.00.
Out-of-State travel (state you do not live in): grant shall have a minimum of $50.00 and shall not
exceed $600.00.
Adult G.E.D., Pre-College Grant 2016-2017 (Ages 25-49)
Qualifications:
- Must be an enrolled member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
- Must be between the ages of 25-49 years.
- Must provide proof of school being attended or curriculum completed.
- Must fill out the Grant Application Program form

Application Fee
- All preplanning and related expenses are the responsibility of the Tribal
Member.
Service Frequency:
