E. coli levels on the Chippewa River were sampled at School Rd bridge crossing, Coldwater River at River Rd, Meridian Park, Chipp-A-Waters Park, North Branch Chippewa River near Meridian Road and the Chippewa Rd bridge crossing on June 16 2026. Please see attached for visual report, results are as follows:

School Rd bridge crossing (CHIP2)

Daily Geometric Mean: 41.5

The daily geometric mean E.coli level at the School Road Bridge crossing of 41.5 is currently below 1000, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for partial body contact.

The daily geometric mean E.coli level at the School Road Bridge crossing of 41.5 is currently below 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for total body contact.

Coldwater River – River Rd bridge/Stream crossing (CR3)

Daily Geometric Mean: 146.2

The daily geometric mean E.coli level at the Coldwater River Road Bridge crossing of 146.2 is currently below 1000, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for partial body contact.

The daily geometric mean E.coli level at the Coldwater River Road Bridge crossing of 146.2 is currently below 300, the State of Michigan Water Quality Standard for total body contact. 

Meridian Park (CHIP4)
