Earth Awareness Community Cleanup - This Friday!

Join us this Friday, for SCIT’s Mino Bimaadiziwin “Living in a Good Way” Earth Awareness Cleanup to honor the importance of protecting Mother Earth from the harmful effects of pollution increasing community awareness and collective stewardship actions caring for Aki.

 

What: Mino Bimaadiziwin “Living in a Good Way” Earth Awareness Cleanup

When: Friday April 17th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm *Smudging by Joe Sowmick at 8:45 am

Where: Broadway Park Pavilion (across from 2451 Nish-Na-Be-Anong Rd.)

 

Participants are encouraged to wear close-toed shoes, a long sleeve shirt, and pants.

Photo and Safety Waivers are Required to Participate.

Safety gloves, trash grabbers, trash bags, and hand sanitizer will be provided.

Cleanup supplies distribution and safety overview at 9 am.

Two locations will be prioritized: on the reservation near Broadway Park and Mill Pond Park.

Hot dog lunch will be grilled by SCIT Tribal Court from 12 – 1:00 pm at Broadway Park.

No registration required.
