Alex Ritter, age 60, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at his home.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Alex’s life will take place at the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Gym on Saturday, March 21 at 3 P.M. with Benjamen Evers officiating. The family will receive friends at the gym from 1 P.M. until the time of service at 3 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the gym.

Alex was born on January 28, 1966 in Mt. Pleasant, MI to Lloyd and Linda (Strong) Ritter. Alex was a proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and was known for his ability to fix or build just about anything; from cars to household appliances, and more. If something was broken, he was the person people called, always willing to lend a hand. He shared his legacy in his collection of music and knowledge through his family.

Alex is survived by his children and siblings; Oldest Son Joshua Wayne Ritter-Krentz, and Daughter Miranda Shelby Ritter (Joshua Mills). Brother Charles (Kari) Ritter, Sisters Linze Ritter, Tracey Ritter and their children.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents; Sons, Alex Ritter Jr. and Caden Ritter; and brother Doug Ritter.
