Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police takes part in multi-jurisdictional investigation

(Mt. Pleasant, Ml.) November 6, 2022 - On Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1830 hours, the

Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police took part in an investigation with all local law enforce1nent

agencies to identify parents of the children left at a local hospital. Confir1ning leads led the

investigation to a residence within the boundaries of the Isabella Indian Reservation. There a

deceased adult female was discovered by officers.

A multi-jurisdictional investigation led to the development of a suspect. An arrest warrant was

obtained, and the suspect was taken into custody in Saginaw, Michigan. This is an ongoing

investigation, but the suspect is in custody and being held on a ho1nicide charge.

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Police were assisted by the FBI, BIA, A TF, Michigan State Police,

Isabella County Sheriffs Office, Mt. Pleasant City Police Department, MINT, and MMR.
