SCIT Distributes 2% Revenues

SUBJECT: SCIT Bi- Annual 2% Revenue Distribution
The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan is pleased to once again be able to share in its revenues this spring with local units of government and public schools. “We have enjoyed discussions with local leaders and educators on what the priorities are for them so we have a better understanding of what the true needs are,” stated Tribal Chief, Tim Davis. To date the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe has shared over $266,353,058.35 million dollars since the inception of class III gaming.
This spring distribution marks a mile stone in Arenac County and the Saganing Satellite Reservation. This is the first distribution that has exceeded one million dollars for Saganing. “I am proud of all the hard work and dedication of our associates and the commitment our patrons have toward our efforts”, stated Ron Nelson, Saganing Tribal Council Member.
Isabella County and surrounding areas will be receiving $2,126,638.50 with $531,659.63 earmarked for education. Arenac County and surrounding areas will enjoy the $1,028,676.94 with, $720,073.86 identified for education. Health and safety were among the many points of interest, while infrastructure and collaborative projects were highlighted as well.
Distribution for Isabella County will begin on the 27th of May at 9:00 a.m. in the Black Elk Building located at 7500 Soaring Eagle Boulevard Mt Pleasant MI, 48858. The Saganing distribution will begin on the 28th of May at 1:30 p.m. at the Saganing Community center located at 5447 Sturman Rd. Standish MI, 48658. Detail sheets are attached for your review.
