Mina Toulouse is an award-winning artist from the Ojibway Tribe of Sagamok Anishinabek. Through her commitment to the Anishinabe way of life, she has become a well-known artist throughout Canada and the United States. With the help of her husband Theodore, materials needed for her pieces have been personally harvested for the past eighteen years. With birchbark, sweetgrass, and porcupine quills, she is able to demonstrate the creativity and ingenuity of this art form that was given to her by her ancestors.
